Course Description

Dallas Hordichuk of Bernhardt Contracting presented this webinar on best practices for designing high performance Part 9 buildings. This included differences between upper and lower steps, as well as Net Zero and Net Zero Energy Ready strategies with respect to different building components (mechanical, envelope, aesthetics, and more).

Dallas is a Certified Energy Advisor and Red Seal Carpenter with a background in Production homes. He was the site supervisor for the Green Point project This project is a Net Zero, Full pedal living building challenge and Certified Passive House, It is the first in the world to reach all of these standards.
Over the last year Dallas has spent most of his time helping other builders reach these high levels of performance. He is also the project lead which created the Bernhardt Contracting Home Optimization tool which can run thousands of energy model scenarios in minutes.
